Clear the Air: Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.)

Posted on 02/18/2011

Occasionally someone will do something that gets people so riled up that you begin to wonder whether the whole thing is just a big misunderstanding. When that happens we reach out to that someone and give them the opportunity to Clear the Air.

On Friday, February 18, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to bar Planned Parenthood health centers from receiving federal funds that help low-income Americans access basic reproductive health services, including birth control, cancer screenings and HIV tests. Planned Parenthood charges supporters of the effort would “condemn countless women in this country to undiagnosed cancer, unintended pregnancies, and untreated illnesses.”

To answer these charges, we’re giving Rep. Mike Pence (R-Ind.), the author of the amendment to defund Planned Parenthood, an opportunity to Clear the Air.

Rep. Mike Pence, how do you respond to Planned Parenthood’s charges against you and your supporters?
